PICO PARK
A tiny blocky platformer that gets past not one single level without you two talking.
What it is about
Two little blocks with faces stand in a level, a key hangs somewhere, and the door is shut. There is no more setup than that — and no more is needed.
Because every level introduces a new rule that one person alone cannot get around: you have to stand on each other, throw each other, step on two buttons at once, or pull a rope that moves you both.
There is a clock, there are short levels, and there is no explanation whatsoever. Whoever has understood gets through in seconds; whoever has not holds the other one up. That is where the game gets its entire reputation.
Our verdict for couples
One level, two little blocks, one key — and the key is built so that neither of you can carry it alone. Every new level introduces a rule that cancels the last one, which is why no agreement between you survives longer than two minutes. For a few euros you get two or three evenings of shouting at each other, and after that a shared memory you will laugh about in a year. Playing as a pair does have one catch: it is always immediately obvious whose fault it was.

- With only two there is no one else to blame
Suitable from

- Under 5 hours
What other co-op fans say
The community is one long and very cheerful complaint. Nearly every review describes in the same breath how much fun the game is and how much the other players get on your nerves — several state outright that it is the best test of a friendship there is. What gets praised is the low price and how quickly you are in. The objections are as unambiguous as the praise: it is short, and anybody with no appetite for shouting is in the wrong place.
- “Very fun game beat it with my gf, lots of memories made lots of laughs had.”
- “this game causes great rage and laughs~ enjoyed very much”
- “this game ruins every friendship ever do NOT play with your closest, most cherished friends”

Runs on the same devices as this game.

Two wobbly rubber figures solve puzzles in dreamlike landscapes — though the falling off takes up the larger share.

Two paper figures snip each other into whatever shape the puzzle happens to need.

Two writers are trapped inside their own stories and can only get out together.

You build the course you then have to run yourselves — and the other one is building too.
