What it is about

You are a pair of spies sent to stop a global extortion plot. One of you is the field agent and is actually inside the building; the other sits in front of camera feeds, databases and wiring diagrams and sees none of it.

That is not a division of labour, it is the entire design: the agent stands at a door with four symbols, the hacker has the table saying which ones belong in what order — and the two of you have to explain it without seeing the same screen. One badly described symbol costs you the attempt.

Between missions you swap roles, and every case plays somewhere new: a museum, a train, a server room. You talk over the game's own voice link or however you like — what matters is that you talk.

Our verdict for couples

One of you is inside the building, seeing guards, doors and cameras. The other sits at a computer with floor plans and wiring diagrams and cannot operate any of it. So you never have the same picture in front of you and have to describe what is there without stopping — that is where all the appeal comes from, and the same source produces the arguments. One copy covers you both, because the Friend's Pass is free. After three to five hours the story is told, though, and a second run adds little: by then you know the answers.

Pros

  • One copy covers both of you online — the Friend's Pass is free
  • You talk more than you click
  • Each mission is told in half an hour

Cons

  • Over after three to five hours
  • Hardly worth a second run
  • No local co-op

What other co-op fans say

The corpus agrees completely on one point: this is a game about talking, and it stands or falls with the person beside you. Nearly every review describes the same sequence — confusion first, then blaming each other, then laughter. Strikingly often the free Friend's Pass gets a mention of its own. The one recurring objection is the length: several name two and a half to five hours, and at full price some find that too little.

  • “Great Co-op game if you really wanna test your communication skills with whoever you're playing.”
  • “More time spent laughing and cursing each other than playing the game.”
  • “Very good, but also very short.”
